The “What if?” Revolution

A dream... an idea. I’ve noticed that they usually start with a particular question: “What if?”. Sadly, that is also where many of our dreams and ideas end. They get stuck in traffic. Sometimes they even cause an accident! Your “What if?” is behind someone else’s “What if?” and you are taken completely by surprise when their “What if? comes to a screeching halt in front of you. Who knows who it might also have an effect on behind you!

I wonder what would happen if we followed our “What ifs?” immediately with another question: “What then?”

Dreams and ideas are beautiful things but if we don’t know how to care for them properly, they’ll never be. This is why we take “parenting classes” on the topic and learn from our experiences. Our “What then?” becomes our guidebook to success. Even if our dream or idea doesn’t come about quite the way we imagined, we have the experience and the knowledge gained from the experience. That can’t possibly go to waste! It’ll be used in ways you could not have imagined, ways that might not even make sense.

Your dreams and ideas are precious. They are your child[ren]. They need time, attention and education to grow.

What if you acted on your dream or idea? What then?

Hey friends! Thanks for being here and reading along with my pursuit of an abundant life (cf John 10:10)! I’m excited to share that my story with mental illness, written in the form of a letter for the blog The Catholic Woman and their series Letters to Women, will be published there on September 25. Please join me in praying for the letter and for everyone who will read it. When it is published, I need your help! I hope that this letter reaches many hearts but I can’t do that by myself. Please share my letter when it is published. Sometimes what people won’t hear from their family members they will from someone else. This story isn’t so much about mental illness as it is about God’s love and mercy and how I came to find my home in his heart.

As always, I’m also over on Instagram and I enjoy connecting with you there! @sarahloutherese.

God bless, and keep your heart up!
