{Book Review} Journaling Through the Gospels and Psalms

This book is truly a treasure. What a gift for it to be my first book review for Our Sunday Visitor! Officially a bible, it includes only the Gospels and the Psalms - and what an incredible opportunity therein to simplify your prayer time!

Did I mention how beautiful this book is? As soon as I held it in my hands, I told my family that all I wanted was to pray a Scriptural Rosary with it (but couldn't right then because it was dinnertime). The quality of the pages are perrrrfect for journaling, coloring, doodling, etc to enhance your prayer time and help the Gospels and Psalms come even more alive in your heart.

Remember: these words were not written overnight. By reading some of those psalms it is amazing to think of what David must have lived through and experienced interiorly to write those words. If you're a poet, songwriter, or storyteller then I'm sure you can relate.

And the Gospels! What an opportunity this book gives to read them anew and cherish them, writing down your thoughts or whatever the Holy Spirit puts on your heart. There's endless opportunity, not to be constrained by the lines there. It'll be your copy: make it yours.

And the same is true of the Faith: it is God's gift to you. Own it and accept the relationship with him that he offers you.

This book was sent to me for free by @oursundayvisitor in exchange for a review. These are my honest thoughts. #osvbooks (rosary and highlighters not included ;))
